Barrel Rolling

Last weekend, the barrel rolling contest was held at the Kentucky Bourbon Festival. This is one of the men's teams. It was just amazing how fast they moved with these barrels, each of which weighs 500 lbs.

Bachelor Broughan

This carriage is approximately 120-125 years old, and was originally purchased from a factory in Paris, France, by Anheuser Busch I. As the name implies, it was a unique carriage designed for the bachelor to be able to squire his date around town in discreet fashion. One of the original features was a communication system from the inside of the carriage to the driver which used funnels and tubes.

Owned and displayed (at the Highbridge Festival) by Jerry Allender of Wilmore, Ky.

Volkscycle

This peculiar vehicle was at the Highbridge Festival last month. I never did get the story on this. Looks pretty weird to me.

Pablo

Pablo is the mascot at a restaurant that we ate at a few times, in Paris, Kentucky. He's kinda creepy, isn't he?
